From Our Missionary

"Hermano C, a teacher of Spanish in the building, came to talk to us because he got back from his mission in Long Beach a year ago. He must have been an excellent missionary because he opened Catalina Island and another part of the mission. He told us that we are bilingual all the time, so anyone we can talk to, we can teach. He said that the Long Beach mission is a "Sanctified" mission, every missionary is exactly obedient. He said that it's because of the mission president. Apparently President Sexton was a teacher at VMI so he is a hard core army guy, but he is really soft spoken and he is the most loving man ever. One thing Hno. C said about the president is that "he receives revelation like you wouldn't believe" He told us that even though we will only have him for about six months that we can learn everything we need to from him. He says that everyone is obedient, not because of a strict mission president, but because they all want the spirit so much. He kept saying that the mission was sanctified and that we had a lot to live up to. I am even more excited than ever to get there."

"we all got a letter from the mission presidents secretary that basically told us to have all the missionary essensials (bom, pmg, etc.) in our backpacks and ready to use the first day. I am really excited to get there."
