“So in church on Sunday I had a little revelation. They mentioned that faith without works is dead. So this thought came to me and I wrote it down. (Feel free to quote it). "Faith without works is dead, and works without faith make you tired." The biggest opposition we get here is two things: when people say "my salvation is assured" and "you can't work your way to heaven". Both of these are what the "born again Christians" say, and it is sad that they understand neither faith nor works. I think we need to remember that faith in Christ is necessary but so are works because works are what manifest the amount of our conversion (faith).
We also taught a lesson to an atheist guy. We gave him a challenge, we said try to prove to us that the book of Mormon is false. Elder K told him. "it is impossible to convince an atheist that there is a God through the Bible, but you can with the Book of Mormon, because if the Book of Mormon is true then it is the word of God. (and if it's true, everything else we teach is too)." So he said he would take the challenge and we set up an appointment to come back."
