DISNEYLAND

Our last family vacation for 2 years! Judd leaves for the MTC in a week, so we decided to take advantage of our fall break and go to Disneyland. We actually were planning on going to Disneyland before we knew Judd was going to California on his mission... coincidentally we flew into the Long Beach Airport. It's been a long time since we've been to Disneyland as a family. Emily was eager to go because she doesn't remember the last time we went as she was a baby at the time.

Last time we were there California Adventure hadn't been built.

The girls met several disney characters, including Cinderella's fairy godmother. Along with Snow White we met Belle and Ariel...we decided to blow off Jasmine because of her absent articles of clothing. Ariel was, impressively, modestly dressed.

After spending 2 days in Disneyland we drove to San Diego. We stopped at the San Diego Temple and Judd and David did some temple work. Then we went to the BYU/San Diego State Football game. (BYU won!)

On Sunday we ended up going to a Spanish speaking ward for Sacrament meeting. Fortunately it was their Primary program so were were able to follow along because we are familiar with the Primary songs. It was fun to get a tiny glimpse into what Judd's life will be like for the next two years. After church we visited Aunt Carol (RaDawn's mother's sister). We have fond memories of visiting Carol and Clovis when we lived in San Diego and it was fun to reminisce and catch up.
